Yubo Zhao is an undergraduate student in the elite “Shennong Class” at Southwest University, consistently ranking in the top 5 of the program. Yubo has a solid foundation in molecular biology and bioinformatics, with hands-on experience in gene cloning, RT-qPCR, RNA-seq, and GWAS data analysis.
Yubo has received multiple honors, including a National Encouragement Scholarship, a Third-Class Scholarship of Southwest University, selection into the Dazheng Talent Program, and awards such as the Academic Science and Technology Award, the Diligent Struggle Award, and the Overseas Study Award of Southwest University. Yubo was fully funded to study abroad at Chiba University in Japan and received the Chiba University President’s Award.
Yubo leads a national-level Undergraduate Innovation Training Project, works deeply on the BrassicaIBD intelligent rapeseed design breeding platform, and serves as a research assistant at the Ministry of Education Engineering Research Center for Mountainous Southern Agriculture.
